How the sizes are worked out

Cutting plan on 2440 × 1220 sheets

Laid out by the CutRun calculator with a 3 mm saw kerf and 10 mm trimmed off the factory edges.

62 % of the board ends up in the furniture. The last sheet has a large piece left over — plan extra shelves, a drawer or a second small cabinet into the same order.

Assembly order

  1. Band the edges: door all round, the rest on the front edge.
  2. Drill shelf-pin rows, assemble the carcass lying down, nail on the back.
  3. Screw on the legs, stand it up, level it and fix it to the wall.
  4. Insert the shelves, hang the door and adjust the hinges.
