Questions

How many sheets do I need for a kitchen base cabinet?

A 600 × 820 × 560 mm version in 18 mm board fits on one 2440 × 1220 mm sheet: 2.46 m² of board and about 9.5 m of edge banding. The 3 mm HDF back is cut from a separate thin sheet.

What are standard kitchen base cabinet sizes?

Carcass 720 mm high on 100–150 mm legs, 560–580 mm deep, widths 300–1200 mm in 50 or 100 mm steps; the worktop brings the total to about 860–910 mm.

Why rails instead of a top panel?

The worktop covers the cabinet anyway; two rails save board and leave room for a sink or a hob.

Need a different size? Open this design in the cabinet builder, type your own width, height and depth or change shelves, drawers and doors — the cut list and the drawing update as you go. Then send it to the calculator for your own sheet size.
